An immigrant widow, Marion, cleans the Sydney terrace house of a reclusive blind man, Oscar. Both are lonely, disconnected and on the outskirts of society- Marion struggles in the sighted world, confronted with her fading looks, Oscar is a bitter and self punishing alcoholic.
